It's been a while since I had a real update.

Over the summer I lived with two of my friends from college. It was a lot of fun. I also got a job as a research assistance, which I loved. It was the first time I didn't hate my job. I also got paid enough to (hopefully) make it through this fall and winter semesters without having a job. Which is good, since the chemistry department, where I worked, doesn't have enough money to continue to pay me. I will continue to work though, because I want to finish my research project and get published. I also might be able to work on this or something similar for my senior thesis.

Right now there is a faculty strike at my university. We haven't had class for two weeks because of it, so I have been busying myself with many activities. I've been working at the school newspaper with my boyfriend, as well as practicing hooping, a new sort of dancing that was introduced to me by a girl I met at a party. I am also (DA RELATED!) starting a painting tomorrow morning, which hopefully gets finished soon, before I start school, because I'm afraid I might not be able to finish it otherwise. I am taking 21 credit hours this fall! Ah!

I hope everyone had a great summer and is gearing up to get ready to get back to school.
